Sarah graduated as valedictorian in high school, earned an AA in Office Administration in 1991, a BA in Communications in 2014, and an M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning in 2023 (regionally accredited university). She is a lifelong learner and avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction books.
Sarah has enjoyed a variety of positions, such as an online teacher, managing editor for a university, marketing manager for a law firm and an engineering firm, communications director for a school, and marketing communications specialist at a software company. This year marks Sarah’s fifth year as a middle school teacher in a traditional classroom.
As the youngest of six children, Sarah grew up on a sheep farm in Wisconsin and is thankful for the work ethic she developed there. For over a decade, Sarah has lived in a suburb of Atlanta, and she’s blessed by three amazing adults who call her mom! She enjoys anything outdoors—camping, hiking, disc golf, or pickleball. Indoors, she likes Les Mills fitness classes and playing piano and volleyball.
Sarah is a gold-level member of The Christian PEN with whom she passed extensive testing and demonstrated expertise in the substantive editing, copyediting, and proofreading of both fiction and nonfiction manuscripts. Sarah has fifteen years of editing experience and started her LLC in 2014.
The thing I like the most about Sarah’s editing is that she does not read my manuscript from a professional editor’s perspective only. She edits like a professional, and she immerses herself into my books like she was one of my readers. Sarah provides vital editorial guidance with the customer’s experience in view. She’s a rare talent, and I am well-pleased with her work.
I first met Sarah a number of years ago. Because of what I came to know about her then, I had no reservations hiring her for proofing and editing of a book I am revising—even though it had been a very long time since I had seen her.
